Warranty Statement for Matai Watches

At Matai, we are dedicated to providing you with high-quality timepieces from our Genesis, Manea and Iva Masina Collections. We believe in the craftsmanship and precision of our watches, and to demonstrate our commitment to your satisfaction, we offer the following warranty in compliance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Coverage:

Genesis & Manea G4 | Automatic Collection:

Matai's Genesis Collection watches are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 year from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

Iva Masina Collection:

Matai's Iva Masina Collection watches are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

Genesis & Manea A | G3 Collection:

Matai's Genesis Collection watches are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

What We Protect Against:

Our warranty covers the following issues:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
  • Defective movement or watch components.
  • Water resistance issues due to manufacturing defects.
  • Issues with the watch's functionality.
  • Loose or damaged watch crown and stem.

What We Don't Cover:

Our warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by the following:

  • Accidents, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, scuffs, and fading of the watch case and bracelet.
  • Water damage resulting from submerging the watch beyond the stated water resistance limits.
  • Loss or theft of your watch.
  • Any alterations or repairs attempted by unauthorized parties.
  • Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures, magnetic fields, or prolonged sunlight.

How to Make a Warranty Claim:

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact our customer service team at inf@matai.com.au and provide your proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and clear images of the problem. We will assess your claim and determine the appropriate solution.

Please note that we reserve the right to discontinue or modify our watch models, which may result in a warranty replacement with a similar, available style in the event of a defect.

Matai's warranty is provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and does not affect your statutory rights. Your statutory rights include guarantees that the product will be of acceptable quality and match the description provided. This warranty is an additional protection to ensure your satisfaction.

Limited Warranty Coverage:

Matai Sunglasses are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 years from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

During the warranty period, we will repair or replace, at our discretion, any sunglasses that are found to be defective in materials or workmanship. This includes defects in the frame, hinges, and lenses. Please note that lens scratches and normal wear and tear are not considered defects.
