🪞🪞 REFLECTIVE MORNING 🪞🪞
The only class I ever really went to in high school was Graphics / Art Design solely due to having an amazing teacher / mentor by the name of Dave Watson.
He was a younger Kiwi teacher that treated me equally as if we were friends who showed nothing but love, respect and compassion.
It was at this time he introduced the legendary artist Fatu Feu'u into my life - A Samoan art pioneer whom I went on to study religiously.
(Honorary Officer - NZ order of merit).
20 years later, I still reference his work and I'm glad while Andrew was helping guide this piece with artist Tanya Anchugov that we get to see Fatu's influence coming through. - Nick
